Thai boxing (also known as Muay-Thai) is a close contact martial art, often also referred to as “The Science of Eight Limbs” as the hands, elbows, shins and knees are extensively used in this art of fighting.

The master practitioner of Muay Thai makes use of “eight points of contact” as opposed to “two or four points” used in conventional boxing or sport-oriented forms of martial arts. Muay Thai is still practiced in Thailand and is taught at schools as a self-defense technique while its popularity as a training technique is also rapidly growing all around the globe.
